Join us for an incredible tour of the innovative and uniquely sustainable John Ball Zoo! In 2021, John Ball Zoo was the first zoo in the world to be awarded the Sustainable SITES Initiative Certification. This year, the zoo will be awarded a Platinum Certification for the Living Architecture Performance Tool. This not only shows their dedication to stormwater management and sustainability initiatives, but to providing the animals on site with the best possible created habitat.

The zoo tour will be hosted from 4:00 - 5:30 PM, and following the tour will be a Reception at the Bissell TreeHouse from 5:30 - 7:00 PM. We invite you to join us at the reception to hear opening remarks from Mayor Rosalynn Bliss and a short summary of the zoo’s sustainability initiatives from Allmon Forrester. Lastly, we will use this time to officially award the John Ball Zoo with their Platinum Certification Living Architecture Performance Tool Plaque.

You don’t want to miss out on this historical achievement! Did we mention you get to take a ride in the Funicular to get to the TreeHouse? Networking will be elevated to its finest as you can make professional connections surrounded by the beauty of the zoo and it’s incredible inhabitants.
